Themed "Rice for Future Generations", the third International Rice Congress 2010 (IRC2010), will seek to attract thousands of delegates from around the world. IRC is known to be the world's largest gathering of rice scientists, researchers, and technology experts. It will be held on November 8-12, 2010 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam and hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. It is organized by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and AsiaCongress Events Co. Ltd.
The IRRI Fund is an international charitable organization that facilitates and encourages support for the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) from private and public donors in Asia and around the world.

The IRRI Fund supports rice research at IRRI to reduce poverty and hunger and improve the health and nutrition of poor rice farmers and consumers while protecting the environment. The IRRI Fund also facilitates scientific collaboration and educational programs, sponsorships, and partnerships through conferences, events, and publishing opportunities related to the promotion of rice and rice research.
